These are Exactly What to Do When You Don’t Have Good Grades from School

The essence of government in any society is to create policies and systems of living for people they govern, most especially in a developing nation like our dear country, Nigeria. They decide what the citizens eat, what school the people they govern should attend, they also decide what should be in academic curriculum, what not to say – freedom of expression notwithstanding.

Before the advent of private broadcast outfit in the country in 1992, Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) was the major channel where government conditioned citizens’ mind to solely depend on them for living.
The citizens don’t have any personal aspiration to think creatively on their own, they don’t think of venturing into small scale business let alone large scale enterprise.  Graduate students with good grades get scholarships and grants to study abroad and when they return to the country they get a good job, a good house, a good sizeable salary that make them comfortable in poverty, sidelining those ones who don’t have good grades to work as subordinate to those who have good grades

This same system is what is still in vogue today. People who don’t have good grades from school don’t bother to apply for jobs in any companies. Most of them result in factory work after series of rejections from where they have applied before.

But beyond getting a job with your grades, these are what to do when your grades are not very good to get your desire results.

·         Know What You Want Out Life
Before graduating from school, you should have known the state of your grade. Knowing this will guide you on track to question yourself on what exactly to do. What you should do now is to critically question your mind to know what you want out of life.

·         Seek Out For Help From People
The most interesting thing about your situation is that you are not the only one going through this situation so it is not peculiar to you. There are millions of people that your own pathetic situation is still better than their own. So never be ashamed to talk to people to guide you on what to do in life.

·         Have a Keen Desire For Knowledge
Beyond the four walls of University, there are a lot of things that can be learnt on your own. Be the students of life and not student of University of Lagos. Acquiring knowledge here has nothing to do with your grades from school. Know about current affairs; seek to know what is happening in government, aviation, sport and many more.

·         Look Inward For Your Gifts
We are all born in life with a gift. You need to know what you do often without any stress or “wahala”. It could be playing football; it could be your analytical skill, your driven skill, your trading or entrepreneurial spirit and all sorts.

·         Enhance Your Networking Capacity
You cannot afford to be shy here. You have to go out to talk and engage with people because they are the people that will help you. Reach out to them, have interest in what they are doing. Tell them what you are doing and what you intend to do to create good rapport between both of you and ask them questions, request for their email if they don’t want to give you their phone numbers.

·         Take Short Courses and Attend Seminars
The benefit of this is to reposition yourself for sudden opportunities that may come. It could be one day or a month course. Attending seminars and conferences will make you stand shoulder to shoulder with seminars facilitators and increase your confidence level after engaging them.

·         Be Eager To Render Help without Expecting Anything in Return
This may be difficult to do but it is the bomb that will rapidly reposition you for greatness. Whosoever needs help in life must be willing to give it first. There are a lot of people that want to carry out project but don’t know what and how to do it. Your simple knowledge could be the big break for the people which definitely affect you positively.

·         Use Social Media
Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Blogspot, Instagram, Google Plus and other tools are beyond the social media, they are serious media that you can use to promote your skill and what you are doing. Register on these links and register your positive interest to let the world know who you are and what you are doing.

·

Leave others Unto God
For by strength shall no man prevail in life. God factor is very important here; never underrate the place of God in your life. Your own is to do your part and leave the remaining unto the Lord.
